Hi,
I would like to dedicate 2Mbps of bandwidth to a specific IP address. I am guessing this is possible using same example as setting up pipes for VoIP in the traffic shaper.
Am I right?
Regards.

Essentially. You just have to decide how "dedicated" you want it. You can shrink the other pipes to always leave 2 meg free and give it the full pipe. (And the magic tickbox settings, of course, but without the tickbox)
I recommend just giving it additional weight, however, instead of dedicated bandwidth. But it depends on your need.

Are you telling me the magic tickbox wont work for the rest of the users? coz if thats the case then I'd rather use as it is, cant do without that magic tickbox.

The magic tickbox sets up the pipes and queues with total fairness. You are then modifying it to allow one IP to be more than fair. Once set, if not changed it still works...
