Hi Will SmallWall run on one of these pcengines.ch/wrap1e203.htm - it's a really old one, 233mhz geode & 128MB RAM. The page smallwall.org/docs/handbook/hardware-embedded.html says the WRAP is supported in general but the ones they currently sell are all at least 256MB RAM and have a 500mhz CPU.
If it would run SmallWall, any idea (roughly) what internet connection speed would that be able to support before the speed became a limiting factor? Thanks for any help! Cheers Ian

It should run, but there are limitations. For example upgrades go into a ram disk created for the purpose, and you may not have enough space to create that ram disk. Also, I doubt the CD-Rom version would work... Your best bet would be to flash the image to your CF card from another PC and then try it. It may actually work well, and have room to upgrade, but I am not sure.
If you are running m0n0wall on it now, upgrade to 1.34a, and then 1.8.1, and if it works, SmallWall will work.
As to performance, you will probably be stuck at 45meg best case. Less with any VPN.
