I use SmallWall ver. 1.8.3 and ver.1.8.4b9 now. Today I'm going to change the Firewall Rules, the browser alerts now using TLS 1.0/1.1.
My questions are belows:
1. Does SmallWall 1.8.4b11 support TLS 1.2 or not?
2. Can I update the firmware to 1.8.4b11 directly from 1.8.3?

I've updated SmallWall ver.1.8.4b9 to 1.8.4b11, but Web browsers alert TLS Seurity.
Please tell me how to use TLS 1.2.

My day job has been taking a lot of my time the past few months and this is something I need to work on. If it is critical for you I have a work around, but I should be able to do something here before year end.

Thank you for your reply and effort.
I've longly used m0n0wall and SmallWall for the hospital to access the Internet and the servers (WWW, Mail, etc.)
The system replace schedule is next years' end.
So I can't change the firewall system now, but I must often change the rules from GUI.
Now I can access from the FireFox,etc. to allow TLS 1.0 but I need TLS 1.2 before the browsers stop TLS1.0/1.1.
Thank you.

Hi Lee,
Any word on when an update to SmallWall will be available that supports TLS 1.2?
Thanks

A number of my clients have a accounting deadline for projects on December 15th, and so I am fully booked till then. Once I get a break, I will dive into it.

Is it difficult to support TLS 1.2?

Is it difficult to support TLS 1.2? Lord I feel bad about this. It has been so long that it takes a while to get myself familiar with where I was in the updates. And with work I have simply not had the time to really address it. I will try and put it back in my list, but the next two weekends are fully booked. That silly day job!

Hello Lee, by now, it seems that pretty much all currently held browsers are shipped in a way that only allows secure connections over TLS 1.2 (tolerated) and TLS 1.3 (current). Do you have an idea when you can compile SmallWall with the relevant modules in such a way that we no longer get error messages when accessing and are not forced to allow the browsers to continue using the insecure versions at least as long as we administer SmallWall through deep intervention? Does the t1n1wall have the same challenge?
BTW, I've been using SmallWall and M0n0wall for years and it met my needs in a private environment satisfactorily so far.
Thanks for your work done to date!
