I have upgraded to smallwall 1.8.3 from m0n0wall 1.8.x and everything worked right out of the box using the old configuration. When setting up L2TP VPN feature, however, I think I hit a bug. The following entries in my system log show the cause of the failure:
If I read correctly, there appears to be a missing CR in the config file at line 41 which reads:

But I have not seen thins one before, so it may be a configuration problem we are not sanity checking for. I am on vacation now, but will be home next week and can look more into it. In the mean time, can you post your configuration?
