Hi,
Is there a way with SmallWall in which I can hide / mask my public IP address such that when anyone on my network uses tools such as whatismyipaddress or speedtest cant see my ISP's IP address or in that matter the actual provider of my internet services?
I know maybe there is other ways using any of the many VPN services available but would really love to it within my SmallWall box.
Any thoughts?
Regards

If you need to block certain sites you can add them to the DNS forwarder in the firewall. Point the DNS in the forwarder to a IP that is not used. Also make the users unable to communicate on tcp & udp port 53 directly to the Internet.
Would that work?

Not really... It just does not work with the way TCP/IP is made. Your could proxy all traffic through a third party, but that would be difficult, slow, and not 100%.
And blocking the lookup addresses gets hard too... ipchicken, icanhazip, and many more. Or, ssh to a shell, and look where you came from next time.

Thanks guys, No am not looking to block certain sites...I've done that before with a proxy server which jus slowed down everything. I need to mask my public IP so that anyone within my network or anyone behind my SmallWall cannot see it thru whatismyipaddress or any other ip search tool for that matter.
I thought it was possible to do it from within SmallWall without involving a third party...guess will leave it like that for now.

It is not a firewall thing but a TCP/IP thing. The website for whatsmyip has to know your IP address to send the information to you. Or it has to be masked behind a proxy at another IP address...
